Would you like to taste great coffee made with soya or oat milk or a burger made out of hemp, some vegan stew, a kebab and ice-cream? How about taking a rest on an anatomical herbal pillow? What about listening to the useful and educational lectures and expert advice from interesting lecturers, nutritionists and other experts? Perhaps you\u2019d like to learn how to prepare vegan meals and drinks at a cooking workshop? And how about introducing ecological themes to your child, bringing him\/her in an eco toy workshop and taking him\/her to see a magician? Then come to the ZeGeVege festival!<\/p>\n

On Friday, September 5 from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M. and Saturday, September 6 from 9 A.M. to 7 P.M., on Trg bana Jelacica in Zagreb, the 7th ZeGeVege Festival of Sustainable Living will take place, as a part of a well known international festival called Veganmania.<\/p>\n

This unique festival in Croatia is appreciated and recognizable because it exhibits and promotes products made exclusively of plant-based origin, products that are not tested on animals and products that are environment-friendly, and it is dedicated to healthy and sustainable living in addition to the welfare of people, the environment and animals.<\/p>\n

This year’s ZeGeVege festival is a record-breaking one because over 80 healthy food exhibitors, eco-products and innovations, and cosmetics that have not been tested on animals will be introduced there. There will also be some foreign exhibitors, vendors with the V-label, various associations and humanitarian and ecological initiatives, and tourist information.<\/p>\n

The ZeGeVege program starts on Friday, September 5 at 9 A.M., and it will be opened by the Mayor of Zagreb, Milan Bandic, at 1 P.M. The ZeGeVege Festival will also be visited by the President of the Republic of Croatia, Ivo Josipovic, on Saturday, September 6 between 9.30 and 10.30 A.M.
\nTake part in a raffle with many valuable and attractive prizes, taste vegan beer, drive a smoothie cycle, check out innovations such as an electric bicycle and car, visit the veggie window and watch video screenings about animal rights and veganism, and check out the educational recycling yard and other attractions. The ZeGeVege Festival will offer plant-based foods for dogs and cats, eco fruit and vegetables, free make-up and hairstyling, numerous tastings, and brochures with recipes.<\/p>\n

Relax while listening to a DJ, let jolly children’s voices cheer you up and take delight in the fantastic performances of 26 performers of various styles of music, dance numbers and workshops, all of which will make for a fun and varied program on stage. Also, dance to the sounds of popular hip-hop and rock music by Croatian musicians.<\/p>\n

Animal Friends invites all not to the miss cheerful and positive atmosphere of the ZeGeVege Festival. Beside various the various exhibitors and lecturers featured during the 22-hour musical and stage program, visitors will receive useful information about sustainable living and ways to have fun.
\nThe ZeGeVege Festival is supported by the President of the Republic of Croatia Ivo Josipovic, the City of Zagreb Mayor\u2019s Office, the City Office for Health, the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, the Croatian Chamber of Economy – Tourism Sector, the City Office for Economy, Labour and Enterprises, the Croatian Environment Agency, the Croatian Agricultural Agency, the City Office for Agriculture and Forestry, the City Office for Energy, Environment Protection and Sustainable Development, the Zagreb Tourist Board and others.<\/p>\n

The ZeGeVege Festival is organized as a non-profit and volunteer-driven event and is made possible by Animal Friends.<\/p>\n

Free make-up for visitors will be provided by Nives Spajic thanks to dm-drogerie markt for the assortment of vegan cosmetics alverde. Hair treatments will be carried out by the beauty & the beast studio with Paul Mitchell cosmetics.<\/p>\n

Restaurants featured at the ZeGeVege Festivals include Makam Naturokst and Bruna Nat\u00fcrlich Eis from Germany and Vegetarian Club Vegehop from Zagreb. Pellini bio coffee will be provided by Promet Aroma, and plant-based milk is provided by Alpro and Oatly. Besides Ozujsko Cool beer, visitors will be able to taste Vocko juices and freshen up with Cetina springwater.<\/p>\n

The Electric Bicycle Greyp will be presented by Rimac Automobili and an electric car NEVO will be available from Electa Sol. The stage will be decorated by Zelena prica, and the third mascot Tofu, which appears along with Mrkvic and Graskic is created by Jasna Skiljan.
\nThe official nutritionist of the ZeGeVege Festival is MA of nutrition Ivana Simic. The host of the festival is Maja Jozic. The official event photographers are a duo from MMM Photography. Also, Chillout Hostel Zagreb has provided affordable accommodation with a vegan breakfast to visiting guests.<\/p>\n
