The aim of this unique festival is to inform people about the possibility of sustainable, ecological and healthier living, which does not harm the environment, lives of other animals and welfare of people while using natural resources for the purpose of meeting human needs.<\/p>\n

The ZeGeVege Festival will take place on Ban Jelacic Square on Friday, September 17, 2010 from 10 A.M. to 10 P.M. This year too the City of Zagreb sponsors the ZeGeVege Festival. As it was the case last year, Milan Bandic, the mayor of Zagreb will open the festival at 10 o’clock with a brief speech, while Mirely Holy, the vice president of the Committee for Environmental Protection in Croatian Parliament, will welcome the visitors.<\/p>\n

This year the ZeGeVege Festival will be organized as part of a new campaign Green Monday through which the City of Zagreb joined the increasing number of towns which urge their citizens to choose at least one veggie day in a week in order to improve their own health and the health of the environment. At the festival 40 exhibitors will participate which with their ethical and ecological criterion try to improve the harmonious coexistence of all living beings. Visitors of ZeGeVege Festival can expect many interesting things like tastings and discount sales, while health food producers, eco-agriculturers, companies that produce cosmetics that are not tested on animals, producers of ecological packaging and alternative energy sources and animal protection associations will present themselves and their offer.<\/p>\n

There will be a program on the central stage on Ban Jelacic Square throughout the whole day where the following musicisans and artists will perform: Bojan Jambrosic, etno choir Cipkice, Elma & N.T. Wave, Nina Romic, Bobo Knezevic and Animalne Bestije XY, the bands Pet do dvanaest, Crank Band and dancers of various stiles like belly dancing, Indian dance, capoeira and the popular zumba fitness.<\/p>\n

The health food restaurant Vegehop will offer healthy meals at promotional prices which visitors of the festival can eat at set tables. Everyone who buys a meal in the restaurant can enter the competition where the first price is a weekend for two with a vegan breakfast in the Cherry Blossom guest house which has a European V-Label. The special prize is a vegan lunch on a sailing boat along with swimming on the island of Krk, sponsored by Macrocruise. Other prizes are gift packages sponsored by Alpro, Encian, Dvostruka duga, Steviana, Advent, Jutarnji list, and Geo.<\/p>\n

For children there will be set a Kid’s Corner with a program for the young guests, where children will learn about animal and environment protection through creative games. Vrecko (Baggie), the bag monster, will also visit the Kid’s Corner and tell the children a story about plastic bags. The illusionist Jozo Bozo, singer Minea, children choirs Kikici and Genijalci will entertain the youngest from the stage. The Lush info stall will be visited by the gorilla mascot which will take pictures with everyone interested.<\/p>\n

The eco-toys stall is of a humanitarian character \u2013 part of the profit will go to the SMA.T, an organization of parents with children suffering from spinal muscular atrophy. In an open tent in the morning part of the program Rituals organizes a free make-up with cosmetics which are not tested on animals. Besides the entertainment, the ZeGeVege Festival also offers an educational content and the visitors will be able to watch films about the impact of the food industry on the environment and climate, and sign the current petition for the ban of plastic bags, for the introduction of vegetarian meals in public institutions, etc.<\/p>\n

ZeGeVege festival odr\u017eat \u0107e se na Trgu bana Jela\u010di\u0107a u petak 17. rujna 2010. godine od 10 do 22 sata. I ove godine pokroviteljstvo ZeGeVege festivalu dao je Grad Zagreb. Kao i lani, ZeGeVege festival \u0107e u 10 sati kratkim govorom otvoriti Milan Bandi\u0107, gradona\u010delnik grada Zagreba, a posjetitelje \u0107e pozdraviti i Mirela Holy, potpredsjednica Odbora za za\u0161titu okoli\u0161a u Hrvatskom saboru.<\/p>\n

Ove godine ZeGeVege festival dio je nove kampanje Zeleni ponedjeljak kojom se Grad Zagreb pridru\u017eio rastu\u0107em broju gradova koji poti\u010du svoje gra\u0111ane na barem jedan vege dan u tjednu kako bi pobolj\u0161ali svoje zdravlje i zdravlje okoli\u0161a. Sudjelovat \u0107e 40 izlaga\u010da koji svojom poslovnom politikom visokih eti\u010dkih i ekolo\u0161kih kriterija nastoje pridonijeti skladnom su\u017eivotu s ostalim \u017eivim bi\u0107ima. Na ZeGeVege festivalu posjetitelje o\u010dekuju brojne zanimljivosti poput degustacija i promotivnih prodaja, a svoju ponudu predstavit \u0107e proizvo\u0111a\u010di zdrave hrane, eko-poljoprivrednici, proizvo\u0111a\u010di kozmetike koja nije testirana na \u017eivotinjama, proizvo\u0111a\u010di ekolo\u0161ki prihvatljivih proizvoda i alternativnih izvora energije i udruge za za\u0161titu \u017eivotinja.<\/p>\n

Na Trgu bana Jela\u010di\u0107a bit \u0107e postavljena pozornica s cjelodnevnim zabavnim programom u kojemu \u0107e nastupati Bojan Jambro\u0161i\u0107, etno zbor \u010cipkice, Elma & N.T. Wave, Nina Romi\u0107, Bobo Kne\u017eevi\u0107 i animalne be\u0161tije XY, grupe Pet do dvanaest, Crank Band i plesa\u010di raznih plesnih stilova kao \u0161to su trbu\u0161ni ples, indijski ples, capoeira i popularni zumba fitness.<\/p>\n

Restoran zdrave hrane Vegehop nudit \u0107e gotova, zdrava jela po promotivnim cijenama koja \u0107e gra\u0111ani mo\u0107i pojesti za postavljenim stolovima. Jela \u0107e biti poslu\u017eena u biorazgradivim posudama sponzora tvrtke Ekopak, a ove godine \u0107e i pribor za jelo biti od biorazgradivog materijala. Svi koji kupe obrok u restoranu mogu sudjelovati u nagradnoj igri u kojoj je prva nagrada vikend za dvije osobe s veganskim doru\u010dkom u pansionu Cherry Blossom koji je nositelj europske V-oznake, a posebna nagrada je veganski ru\u010dak na jedrilici uz kupanje na otoku Krku sponzora Macrocruise. Ostale nagrade su poklon paketi sponzora Alpro, Encian, Dvostruka duga, Steviana, Advent, Jutarnji list i Geo.<\/p>\n

Za djecu \u0107e biti postavljen Dje\u010dji kuti\u0107 s prilago\u0111enim programom za djecu gdje \u0107e se uz kreativne igrice djeca u\u010diti va\u017enosti za\u0161tite okoli\u0161a i \u017eivotinja. Dje\u010dji kuti\u0107 posjetit \u0107e i Vre\u010dko, \u010dudovi\u0161te od vre\u0107ica koje \u0107e djeci ispri\u010dati pri\u010du o plasti\u010dnim vre\u0107icama. Na pozornici \u0107e najmla\u0111e zabavljati ma\u0111ioni\u010dar JozoBozo, pjeva\u010dica Minea, dje\u010dji zborovi Kiki\u0107i i Genijalci. \u0160tand kozmetike Lush posjetit \u0107e i maskota gorile s kojim \u0107e se zainteresirani mo\u0107i fotografirati.<\/p>\n

\u0160tand eko-igra\u010dke jest humanitarnog karaktera – dio prihoda ide udruzi SMA.T, udruzi roditelja djece sa spinalnom mi\u0161i\u0107nom atrophiom. U otvorenom \u0161atoru u jutarnjem dijelu programa organizirano je besplatno \u0161minkanje \u0161minkom Rituals koja nije testirana na \u017eivotinjama. Osim zabave, ZeGeVege festival nudi i edukativne sadr\u017eaje pa \u0107e posjetitelji mo\u0107i pogledati filmove o utjecaju prehrambene industrije na okoli\u0161 i klimu te potpisati aktualne peticije za zabranu plasti\u010dnih vre\u0107ica, za uvo\u0111enje vegetarijanskih obroka u javne institucije i sl. Bit \u0107e postavljeno recikla\u017eno dvori\u0161te kako bi se gra\u0111ani potaknuli na razvrstavanje otpada i brigu za okoli\u0161 i \u017eivotinje, a sve \u0161tandove osvjetljavat \u0107e \u0161tedne \u017earulje proizvo\u0111a\u010da Phillips.<\/p>\n
