The goal of this festival is to promote the simplicity of life through a sustainable, ecological and healthy way which, by using natural resources for the fulfillment of human needs won’t damage the environment, or jeopardize lives of other animals and the welfare of humans.<\/p>\n

The ZeGeVege Festival is organized as part of the European Mobility Week marked by the City of Zagreb, which takes place from September 16-22 in more than 2,000 European towns. The theme of this year’s European Mobility Week is “Improving City Climates.”<\/p>\n

The ZeGeVege Festival will take place on Friday, September 18, 2009, on Zagreb’s Ban Jelacic Square from 10 A.M. to 10 P.M. At the festival will participate 40 exhibitors which with their ethical and ecological criterion try to improve the harmonious coexistence of all living beings. Their offer will present health food producers, eco-agriculturers, companies that produce cruelty-free cosmetics and cleansers, producers of ecological packaging, vehicles and alternative energy sources, as well as associations that promote a sustainable lifestyle.<\/p>\n

The visitors of the festival will enjoy various tastings and book promotions. Many female visitors will be delighted with the free make-up and advices they will get from the visagiste.<\/p>\n

There will be a program on the central stage throughout the whole day with singers, dancers, magicians, graffitti-writers, and jugglers and the presentation of exhibitors. The MP Mirely Holy will have a speech about the connection between the diet and climate changes. Some of the popular names which will perform are Luka Nizetic, Meri Jaman and Anita Valo (Meritas) with Jelena Radan, Ivana Radovnikovic, Lea Dekleva and the bands Voodoo lizards, Fini sapuni, Dzeneration 81. During the evening program hosted by Tamara Loos and Zlata M\u00fcck the fire jugglers from the art group Artistika will entertain the public, while the home theater Skripzikl will perform during the day. Many dance groups of exotic dances will perform as well.<\/p>\n

The restaurant will offer meatless dishes at promotional prices (10-18 kuna). Healthy and tasty dishes like veggie goulash, seitan pasticada, the cakes, pies and veggie burgers will be served in fully biodegradable corn-based disposable dishes. With the meal, the visitors of the restaurant will get soya milk or macchiato coffee with soya milk. Each visitor of the Festival will get health food recipes and many other information about the sustainable living in the ZeGeVege guide printed on recycled paper.<\/p>\n

The restaurant visitors will enter a competition round with valuable prizes. The first prize is a weekend for two at the vegetarian boardinghouse in Liznjan which is the first in Croatia with the V-Label. The special prize is a vegan lunch for two on a sailing boat along with a day on the beach on the island of Krk. Other prizes are valuable gift packages of vegan food products, books, cosmetics etc.<\/p>\n

For children there will be set a kid’s corner with an all-day program. There kids have a chance to draw or play with the plasticine, while learning through this process about the importance of sustainable living. In the afternoon hours they will be visited by Vrecko (Baggie), the bag monster which through the entertaining story educates about the biological harms of plastic bags. The illusionist Jozo Bozo who is against the exploitation of animals for entertainment will also visit the children, and the children’s choir Kikici will sing. Besides this a workshop of ecological toys can be joined in and a puppet show will take place fore the young ones. Part of the profit will go to the SMA.T organization \u2013 an organization of parents with children suffering from spinal muscular atrophy and tracheotomy.<\/p>\n

Besides the entertainment and delicacies on the Festival, for those who want to learn more about the climate changes there will be an eco-exhibition and the whole day will be projections of the documentary about global warming “Meat the Truth.” A recycling yard will be set up in order to appeal to the people to seperate their waste and care about the environment. An electrical bicycle and electrical scooter will be also set on display, while all stalls will be lighted with low energy light bulbs.<\/p>\n

The ZeGeVege Festival is under the sponsorship of the City of Zagreb and the Ministry of agriculture, fishery and rural management.<\/p>\n

ZeGeVege festival dio je Europskog tjedna mobilnosti, kojeg obilje\u017eava Grad Zagreb, a odr\u017eava se od 16. do 22. rujna u preko 2000 europskih gradova. Ovogodi\u0161nja tema Europskog tjedna mobilnosti je ‘Pobolj\u0161ajmo gradsku klimu’.<\/p>\n

ZeGeVege festival odr\u017eat \u0107e se na Trgu bana Jela\u010di\u0107a, u petak, 18. rujna 2009. godine od 10 do 22 sata. Sudjelovat \u0107e 40 izlaga\u010da koji svojim eti\u010dkim i ekolo\u0161kim kriterijima nastoje pridonijeti skladnom su\u017eivotu s ostalim \u017eivim bi\u0107ima. Svoju ponudu \u0107e predstaviti proizvo\u0111a\u010di zdrave hrane, eko-poljoprivrednici, proizvo\u0111a\u010di kozmetike i sredstava za \u010di\u0161\u0107enje koja nisu testirana na \u017eivotinjama, proizvo\u0111a\u010di ekolo\u0161ki prihvatljivih ambala\u017ea, prijevoznih sredstava i alternativnih izvora energije te udruge koje promi\u010du odr\u017eivi na\u010din \u017eivljenja.<\/p>\n

Posjetitelje o\u010dekuju brojne degustacije i promocije knjiga. Besplatno \u0161minkanje kozmetikom koja nije testirana na \u017eivotinjama razveselit \u0107e mnoge posjetiteljice koje \u0107e od viza\u017eistica dobiti korisne savjete o \u0161minkanju.<\/p>\n

Na pozornici \u0107e se odvijati cjelodnevni program u kojem \u0107e nastupati pjeva\u010di, plesa\u010di, ma\u0111ioni\u010dari, grafiteri i \u017eongleri uz predstavljanje izlaga\u010da. Govor vezan za povezanosti prehrane i klimatskih promjena odr\u017eati \u0107e saborska zastupnica Mirela Holy. Iz zabavnog programa izdavajamo neka od poznatih imena kao \u0161to su Luka Ni\u017eeti\u0107, Meri Jaman i Anita Valo (Meritas) i Jelena Radan, Ivana Radovnikovi\u0107, Lea Dekleva te grupe Fini sapuni, D\u017eeneration 81 i DJ Venom. U sklopu ve\u010dernjeg programa koji \u0107e voditi Tamara Loos i Zlata M\u00fcck publiku \u0107e zabavljati \u017eongleri vatrom iz umjetni\u010dke dru\u017eine Artistika, a tokom dana nastupit \u0107e ku\u0107ni teatar \u0160kripzikl. Nizat \u0107e se mnoge plesne skupine egzoti\u010dnih plesnih pravaca.<\/p>\n

Restoran \u0107e nuditi bezmesna jela po promotivnim cijenama (10-18 kuna). Zdravi i ukusni obroci kao \u0161to su veganski gula\u0161, pa\u0161ticada od seitana, kola\u010di, pite i vege burgeri biti \u0107e poslu\u017eeni u biorazgradivim posudama na osnovi kukuruza koje se u okoli\u0161u potpuno razgrade. Uz obrok posjetitelji restorana dobit \u0107e sojino mlijeko ili kavu macchiato sa sojinim mlijekom. Recepte zdravih obroka kao i mnoge druge informacije o odr\u017eivom \u017eivljenju dobit \u0107e svaki posjetitelj Festivala u ZeGeVege vodi\u010du koji \u0107e biti otisnut na recikliranom papiru.<\/p>\n

Posjetitelji restorana sudjelovati \u0107e u nagradnoj igri u kojoj mogu osvojiti bogate nagrade. Prva nagrada je vikend za dvije osobe u vegetarijanskom pansionu u Li\u017enjanu koji je prvi u Hrvatskoj dobio europsku V-oznaku. Posebna nagrada je veganski ru\u010dak na jedrilici uz kupanje na otoku Krku za dvije osobe. Ostale nagrade su vrijedni poklon paketi prehrambenih veganskih proizvoda, knjiga, kozmetike i sli\u010dno.<\/p>\n

Za djecu \u0107e biti postavljen kuti\u0107 s cjelodnevnim programom u kojem \u0107e se kroz crtanje, bojanje i igranje s plastelinom u\u010diti o va\u017enosti odr\u017eivog \u017eivljenja, dok \u0107e ih popodne posjetiti Vre\u010dko, \u010dudovi\u0161te od plasti\u010dnih vre\u0107ica koje kroz zabavnu pri\u010du educira o \u0161tetnosti plasti\u010dnih vre\u0107ica. Djecu \u0107e posjetiti i ma\u0111ioni\u010dar JozoBozo koji se protivi kori\u0161tenju \u017eivotinja zbog zabave, a pjevat \u0107e dje\u010dji zbor Kiki\u0107i. Odr\u017eat \u0107e se radionica ekolo\u0161kih igra\u010daka i lutkarska predstava. Dio prihoda sa \u0161tanda Eko-igra\u010dke ide udruzi SMA.T – roditelja djece sa spinalnom mi\u0161i\u0107nom atrofijom i traheostomama.<\/p>\n

Osim zabavnog i gurmanskog dijela Festivala, za one koji \u017eele vi\u0161e informacija o klimatskim promjenama, uz izlo\u017ebu eko tematike, cijeli dan \u0107e se odr\u017eavati projekcija dokumentarnog filma o globalnom zatopljenju ‘Istina o mesu’. Postavljeno \u0107e biti recikla\u017eno dvori\u0161te kako bi se potaknuli gra\u0111ani na razvrstavanje otpada i brigu za okoli\u0161 i \u017eivotinje. Elektri\u010dni bicikl i elektri\u010dni skuter bit \u0107e tako\u0111er izlo\u017eeni, a \u0161tedne \u017earulje osvjetljavat \u0107e sve \u0161tandove.<\/p>\n

Pokroviteljstvo ZeGeVege festivalu dao je Grad Zagreb i Ministarstvo poljoprivrede, ribarstva i ruralnog razvoja.<\/p>\n
