[quote width=”” align=”left”]On World Vegetarian Day Animal Friends and lush mark the Veggie Challenge<\/span> [\/quote][divider]On the occasion of the ZeGeVege Festival on September 18, Lush and Animal Friends started the Veggie Challenge and invited their fellow townsmen to go vegetarian or vegan until World Vegetarian Day on October 1.<\/p>\n Those who responded to the Veggie Challenge are from all over Croatia, actually from 25 towns: Crikvenica, Cakovac, Donja Zelina, Dubrovnik, Gracac, Icici, Koprivnica, Lipovljani, Opatija, Osijek, Porec, Pula, Rijeka, Sesvets, Sisak, Slavonski Brod, Split, Tuhelj, Varazdin, Veliko Trgovisce, Viskovo, Zabok, Zadar, Zagreb, and Zapresic.<\/p>\n For the majority of registered individuals World Vegetarian Day will not be the end of the challenge but rather the decision day of a permanent switch of their eating habits to a ethically, ecologically and more healthier life commitment. With such decision, the challenge continues throughout their life and offers gourment revelations and new realizations about the veg(etari)an diet.<\/p>\n Those who will not opt to change the Veggie Challenge with the vegetarian lifestyle will have useful experience that will help them in the future to switch easier to the meatless diet which is already being practised by more than 150,000 Croatian citizens.<\/p>\n In order to share the celebration of World Vegetarian Day and the successful Veggie Challenge with everyone interested, Animal Friends in collaboration with Lush organizes its info stall on Thursday October 1 where at 12 noon the vegan tasting with aromatic surprises will be prepared. Takvom odlukom izazov se nastavlja \u010ditavog \u017eivota, kako kroz gurmanska otkri\u0107a tako i kroz nove spoznaje o prednostima veg(etarij)anske prehrane.<\/p>\n Onima koji se ipak ne odlu\u010de Vege izazov zamijeniti vegetarijanskim na\u010dinom \u017eivota, ostaje korisno iskustvo koje \u0107e im u budu\u0107nosti omogu\u0107iti lak\u0161e prebacivanje na bezmesnu prehranu, koju prakticira ve\u0107 preko 150 tisu\u0107a gra\u0111ana Hrvatske. Uspjehom \u0107e se smatrati i ako sudionici prestanu s upotrebom proizvoda testiranih na \u017eivotinjama ili primjerice po\u010dnu koristiti platnene umjesto plasti\u010dnih vre\u0107ica.<\/p>\n Kako bi proslava Svjetskog dana vegetarijanstva i uspje\u0161nog Vege izazova bila podijeljena sa svim zainteresiranim gra\u0111anima, Prijatelji \u017eivotinja u suradnji s Lushem organiziraju prigodni \u0161tand u \u010detvrtak, 1. listopada na Trgu bana Jela\u010di\u0107a, na kojem \u0107e u 12 sati biti pripremljena veganska degustacija uz mirisna iznena\u0111enja. Proslavi i degustaciji pridru\u017eit \u0107e se sudionici Vege izazova, me\u0111u njima i Petra Ni\u017eeti\u0107, Iva \u0160ulenti\u0107, Ana Stuni\u0107, Ivana Radovnikovi\u0107 i drugi.<\/p>\n Cilj Vege izazova je demistificirati vegetarijansku prehranu i pribli\u017eiti ekolo\u0161ke, zdravstvene i eti\u010dke vrijednosti vegetarijanskog na\u010dina \u017eivota te uvjeriti javnost da ukusna i zdrava hrana, ba\u0161 kao i kvalitetna kozmetika, ne moraju biti \u017eivotinjskoga podrijetla.<\/p>\n Ovaj doga\u0111aj dio je programa Dana prijatelja \u017eivotinja koji se odr\u017eavaju
