In order to better stand the summer heat, and also be informed and help animals, Animal Friends is organizing an all-day Veggie Oasis for citizens on Friday, July 13, 2012, from 10 A.M., in the park at Trg kralja Tomislava in Zagreb.
In an oasis in the centre of the city, three tents will be set up with interesting content. Citizens will be able to sit, rest, get refreshed and enjoy juicy fruit and plant drink smoothies with ice. Also, they will get recipes for smoothies, ice creams and other cold vegan desserts, as well as informative materials. They will also get information on how to help animals by simple everyday personal involvement. The petition to introduce vegetarian meals in public institutions will be signed.
Visitors will see the music video “Why Must We Eat The Animals?,” which can also be seen on the video channel of Animal Friends www.youtube.com/afcroatia. It is a work by Los Angeles musicians Grega Cipesa and Jaha Suna, project of the website www.ohwhyohwhy.org, started with the aim to promote vegetarianism through multimedia.
With this event in the green part of the city, Animal Friends will also announce the fifth and recognizable ZeGeVege Festival of Sustainable Living, which will be held on September 7-8, 2012, at Trg bana Jelacica, and which more than 60,000 people have visited so far. This popular festival will present many exhibitors and performers who will attract a multitude visitors with their offer, tastings and skill. At this ZeGeVege Festival, in addition to healthy food and more than 50 stalls, for all visitors there will be free make up and massages, promotional sales, ecological innovations, video projections, all-day program on the stage and many other interesting things to make it even more attractive.
Animal Friends invites everybody to spend a hot day in the city tasting something new and different, with interesting information and useful content. Refreshment and relaxation is guaranteed!
All citizens outside Zagreb and citizens of Zagreb who do not have the opportunity to come to the Veggie Oasis can find seasonal summer recipes for refreshing drinks and cold veggie sweets here, make them at home themselves and sign an on-line petition to introduce vegetarian meals in public institutions.

Kako bi lakše podnijeli ljetne vrućine, a ujedno se educirali i pomogli životinjama, Prijatelji životinja organiziraju za građane cjelodnevnu Vege oazu u petak, 13. srpnja 2012. od 10 sati, u parku na zagrebačkom Trgu kralja Tomislava.
U oazi u centru grada bit će postavljena tri šatora sa zanimljivim sadržajima. Građani će moći sjesti, odmoriti se te se osvježiti i uživati u sočnim smoothijima od voća i biljnih mlijeka, s ledom. Također, moći će dobiti recepte za smoothije, sladolede i ostale hladne veganske deserte te informativne materijale i educirati se kako mogu jednostavnim svakodnevnim osobnim angažmanom pomoći životinjama. Potpisivat će se i peticija za uvođenje vegetarijanskih obroka u javne institucije.
Posjetitelji će moći pogledati glazbeni spot ‘Why Must We Eat The Animals?’ koji se može vidjeti i na video kanalu Udruge www.youtube.com/afcroatia. Radi se o djelu losanđeleskih glazbenika Grega Cipesa i Jaha Suna, projekta stranice www.OhWhyOhWhy.org osnovane s ciljem promicanja vegetarijanstva kroz multimedije.
Ovim događajem u zelenilu grada Prijatelji životinja ujedno najavljuju peti po redu i već prepoznatljivi ZeGeVege festival održivog življenja koji će se održati 7. i 8. rujna 2012. na Trgu bana Jelačića, a koji je dosad posjetilo više od 60.000 ljudi. Ovaj popularni festival predstavit će brojne izlagače i izvođače koji će svojom ponudom, degustacijama i umijećem privući mnoštvo posjetitelja. I na ovom ZeGeVege festivalu, osim ukusne zdrave hrane i preko 50 štandova, sve posjetitelje očekuju besplatna šminkanja i masaže, promotivne prodaje, ekološke inovacije, video projekcije, cjelodnevni program na pozornici i mnogo drugih zanimljivosti koje će ga učiniti još privlačnijim.
Udruga poziva sve da vruć dan u gradu provedu kušajući nešto novo i drukčije, uz zanimljive informacije i korisne sadržaje. Osvježenje i opuštanje su zagarantirani!
Svi građani izvan Zagreba i Zagrepčani koji nisu u mogućnosti doći do Vege oaze mogu naći prigodne recepte za osvježavajuće napitke i hladne vege slastice ovdje i napraviti ih sami kod kuće, te potpisati on-line peticiju za uvođenje vegetarijanskih obroka u javne institucije.
